OPERATING POLICY DRAFT · COUNSEL REVIEW RECOMMENDED
Trust requires clear rules.
PLATFORM TERMS
Terms of Service
Mission 365 is a verification-first platform that connects donors, businesses, and mission owners. By creating an account or using a role-specific feature, you agree to these platform terms and any role-specific agreement presented before that action.
Accounts and authority
- Provide accurate information and keep account access secure.
- Do not impersonate another person or organization.
- If you act for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to do so.
- Mission 365 may require identity, organization, tax, banking, or program evidence before enabling publication or payouts.
Verification is not endorsement
Verification means Mission 365 reviewed specified identity, organization, mission, and payout-readiness evidence. It is not a guarantee that every statement, future outcome, tax treatment, or project result will occur.
Platform fees
Mission 365 currently models a 5% platform fee on recorded contributions. Payment-processor fees, refunds, disputes, reversals, taxes, or other costs may affect final proceeds. Material fee changes should be disclosed before a transaction.
Suspension and enforcement
Mission 365 may pause giving, publication, account access, or payout movement when verification expires, risk events arise, payment disputes occur, evidence is misleading, law or processor requirements demand it, or platform safety is threatened.
PRIVACY
Privacy Policy
Mission 365 processes account, transaction, verification, mission, business, device/technical, and support information needed to operate the service.
Information we handle
- Account information such as name, email, phone when supplied, authentication identifiers, and preferences.
- Mission-owner verification evidence such as formation, tax, authorized-representative, and program documents.
- Giving, sponsorship, receipt, payout, dispute, risk, milestone, and impact records.
- Technical logs required for security, reliability, fraud review, and support.
Payments
Stripe handles payment and connected-account onboarding information through its services. Mission 365 stores Stripe identifiers and operational status needed to reconcile transactions and payouts; it is not designed to store raw card credentials.
Private verification documents
Verification files are stored in a private Mission 365 storage area with user-scoped access and reviewer-controlled temporary signed links. Do not upload passwords, payment-card numbers, banking login credentials, private keys, or unrelated sensitive records.
Use and disclosure
Information may be used to operate the platform, verify organizations, process transactions, prevent fraud, communicate service events, comply with legal obligations, and protect users. Mission 365 does not promise that information will never be disclosed when disclosure is legally required or necessary to protect the service.
Retention and requests
Some transaction, audit, fraud, verification, and legal records may need to be retained even after an account relationship ends. Users may contact Mission 365 to request appropriate access, correction, or deletion subject to operational and legal retention obligations.
DONOR & REFUND
Donor Agreement and Refund Policy
Before giving, donors must accept the current donor terms. Gifts are directed to a verified, published mission through Mission 365’s payment flow.
- One-time and recurring gifts are processed through Stripe.
- Recurring plans can be managed through the Stripe-hosted customer portal when available.
- A Mission 365 receipt records the transaction but does not by itself establish charitable tax deductibility.
- Refund requests are evaluated against transaction status, processor rules, mission disbursement status, fraud/risk concerns, and applicable obligations.
- Partial refunds are recorded against the original gift and reduce the mission’s recorded funded amount.
- Disputes or chargebacks may pause associated mission payouts while reviewed.
Do not make a contribution if you do not understand the mission purpose, verification information, payment terms, or potential tax treatment.
MISSION OWNER
Mission Owner Agreement
Mission owners must provide truthful identity, organization, mission, payout, milestone, and impact information and maintain authority to act for the organization.
- Verification documents must be authentic, current, and relevant.
- A mission must describe a specific need, use of funds, measurable goal, and at least one milestone before submission.
- Mission publication requires organization verification and transfer-ready Stripe recipient onboarding.
- Funds may be held or payouts rejected when risk, disputes, evidence problems, or incomplete reporting exist.
- Milestone and impact claims may require receipts, photos, documents, or other evidence before being marked verified or published.
- Mission owners must not state or imply tax-exempt status unless Mission 365 has reviewed supporting documentation and the statement is accurate.
- Mission 365 may pause or remove missions with misleading claims, material changes, unresolved complaints, illegal activity, or evidence failures.
Mission owners remain responsible for their programs, representations, use of proceeds, taxes, reporting, permits, and legal obligations.
BUSINESS SPONSOR
Business Sponsorship Agreement
Verified businesses may create sponsorship commitments and configure employee or matched-giving programs through Mission 365.
- A commitment is not recorded as funded until a corresponding payment succeeds.
- Business reports distinguish committed amounts from actual funded amounts and account for recorded refunds.
- Matching percentages, employee limits, and budgets are business-configured program rules and do not guarantee employee participation.
- Mission 365 may pause business funding when the sponsored mission, business organization, or payout recipient is not verified/ready or an open risk event exists.
- Businesses must not use Mission 365 impact records to make false, deceptive, or unsupported public claims.
ACCEPTABLE USE & FRAUD
Zero tolerance for manufactured impact.
Users may not use Mission 365 for fraud, sanctions evasion, money laundering, illegal fundraising, deceptive identity, fabricated beneficiaries, counterfeit evidence, unauthorized access, harassment, harmful malware, prohibited goods/services, or transactions designed to disguise the true sender, recipient, or purpose of funds.
Mission 365 may create risk events, request additional evidence, freeze publication or payouts, suspend accounts, preserve audit evidence, reverse transfers when supported by processor rules, or cooperate with lawful investigations.
TAX & RECEIPTS
A receipt is not automatically a tax deduction.
Mission 365 issues transaction records for recorded gifts. Whether a payment is tax-deductible depends on the recipient’s verified tax status, the nature of the payment, benefits received, the donor’s circumstances, and applicable law. Mission 365 does not provide individualized tax advice.
If a mission owner is not verified as tax-exempt, Mission 365 must not market contributions to that mission as tax-deductible. Donors and businesses should consult qualified tax advisers when tax treatment matters.
